Annealed Glass / Laminated Glass / Tempered Glass / Tempered Laminated Glass
Glass can be inherently dangerous, so it is imperative that the appropriate glass is used in your construction project. If not, you will not pass the inspection process, but more importantly, someone can get seriously injured. Annealed glass is a non safety glass that breaks into large shards. Laminated glass is two or more pieces of glass that are permanently bound together using a plastic interlayer (this is considered safety glass). Tempered glass is a heat strengthened glass that breaks into a million little pieces (this is considered safety glass). Tempered Laminated glass is a combination of both types of glass for added safety – this glass is used in glass railings, bullet resistant glass, and blast resistance glass.
