Sliding Shower Door Options

Whether you’re preparing to design your new-construction home, or you’re happily getting around to renovating your existing bathroom, consider opting for sliding shower / bathtub doors in lieu of a shower curtain. Beautiful, practical, and easy to clean glass doors can modernize and upgrade the functionality and look of your shower.

Why sliders instead of shower doors that swing open?

Sliding doors are a space saver. If you have other bathroom fixtures close to the tub or shower, every inch of space helps!

Sliding shower doors are available in a variety of options.

The Semi-Frameless Slider – The Most Popular Design

A semi-frameless slider is a go-to because it fits many bathroom layouts. The frame around the perimeter, with sliding wheels inside the header, helps keep this type of enclosure waterproof.

Semi-frameless sliders feature “bi-passing” doors, which means both doors slide past each other. They come in four different heights for your bathtub or shower stall installation.

The semi-frameless slider pictured here was the right choice for this Wyckoff, NJ bathroom.  With the toilet being close to the shower, space was tight, so a slider was the smarter choice over a swinging door. This unit features ” clear safety glass with towel bars, a round header – all in a chrome finish. Plus the glass doors allow the homeowners to showcase the unique choices of the wooden look wall and the natural stone shower floor.

The Barn Door Slider – Another Popular Option

The barn-door slider features one sliding door with one stationary panel and a notched return panel. The glass is entirely frameless and custom fabricated to fit the opening. The standout beauty of this design comes in choosing from a larger variety of hardware options and finishes.

If you’re smitten with the design impact of a “barn-door” slider, this beautiful design in Closter, NJ is great inspiration. In this project, the customers chose matte black, which flows beautifully with the black and white motif of the room. And the clean glass brightens the room and makes it appear larger.

A Frameless Barn Style

The PL-50 Slider is the newest addition to our sliding door options. In a sense, it is a frameless and barn door mix.

Like the semi-frameless slider, it is a bi-passing slider, but in the PL-50, the enclosure is frameless. The glass is custom fabricated to fit your opening and it is finished with vinyl seals to help keep the water in.

In this project, the beautiful black matte frame matches the shower fixtures and highlights the white subway tiles.
