Glass Entrance Doors, Walls and Partitions for Commercial Spaces
When planning a new commercial space or renovating your current location, glass is an ideal design feature. Glass entrance doors, glass walls, and glass partitions give your office a modern, clean, and luxe look without going over budget.
These glass design features can create the illusion of a more expansive space or an open floor plan. Glass doors naturally brighten any space by allowing the sunlight in, and its natural beauty makes any space more welcoming.
Additionally, glass walls can easily provide security and privacy with added features. When you work with Suburban Glass, you can place your trust in a company that has specialized in all types of glass projects for over 60 years. We partner with you and with your building team to guide your design, along with material and hardware choices, so that you achieve the look you want while respecting your financial plan. The project below is just one example of our commercial glass services.
Glass Installation at a New Office Space in Englewood Cliffs
Turning an empty shell of a commercial space into a warm and welcoming office environment for a growing company is the kind of challenge that takes vision, ingenuity, teamwork, and experience. When the business owner obtained an entire floor of an office building in Englewood Cliffs that was essentially a blank slate, it took a project team of experts to create a modern and beautiful professional workspace. This project featured glass doors and walls for offices, conference rooms, and even a fitness space with a shower and sauna. Here’s how we went from blank to beautiful.
Our Glass Experts Worked Closely with the Project Team
The business owner had ideas and preferences for the new office floor. For this concept to manifest into reality, the Suburban Glass team worked closely with the architect, the builder, and the owner. The plan was to create a contemporary “polished” office environment that utilized glass partitions, feature walls, privacy panels, shower doors, and sauna doors to inspire staff and ownership.
Materials and Installation to Bring the Design to Life
The new office space feels welcoming through the use of clear tempered glass front entrance doors. Walking down the polished floor corridor with flawless glass walls and doors on each side helps establish the company brand and customer experience, as well as provide an impressive first impression.
We used full top and bottom door rails to conceal the magnetic locks, which provided security and controlled access into the office space. These door rails were used throughout the entire office floor for design consistency.
The stunning conference room was enclosed with three walls of clear tempered glass. They were finished with a pair of bi-parting sliding doors that were mounted to the header, and which required working closely with the builder to ensure they had the proper support and stability. We installed 12 office partitions, all of which included doors with locking and latching handles to ensure data security.
Adding Privacy Features to Glass Walls
For added privacy and a polished look, we applied “Smart Film” to the conference room walls, which transforms the clear glass into an opaque look with a flip of a switch.
The feature wall creates a division of space. It was installed with clear tempered safety glass, and a patterned film completed the polished design. We helped the client choose the textures and patterns of the films we used for their privacy panels and feature walls.
For the staff fitness area, which includes showers and sauna units, we applied film to the glass walls for privacy. We also installed several shower enclosures, along with sauna units.
Our Experience Helped the Business Save Money
Originally, the design team requested thicker glass than the project really needed. If we went with this type of glass, it would have required more expensive hardware. Our years of experience came into play when we suggested lighter glass and hardware that could more than support the project but would save the owner from going over budget.
Working with clients, we listen to their concept and provide creative solutions based on years of successful projects.
